PR-TF 83.4 Camino Real Granadilla-Las Vegas

This trail connects the urban center of Granadilla with the hamlet of Las Vegas, the first population center of the municipality. Before the arrival of the Carretera General del Sur in the fifties of the 20th century, the internal communications between the villages of the lower midlands and the exchange of products was articulated mainly by the Camino Real (Royal Road).

The route begins along the streets Arquitecto Marrero and José Reyes Martín, connecting with the cobblestone road next to the Secadero de Tabaco building, a unique building recently restored as a multipurpose hall. From there it heads northwest, connecting streets and sections of the old road until it reaches Las Vegas.

Along the way it is possible to appreciate in many points the original cobblestones, for example, in the area of Los Blanquitos. Also the abundant religious manifestations, such as the resting places of the dead, the crosses and the calvaries.
