The project
Did you know that Granadilla de Abona hides unique natural and cultural treasures?
With the Landscape Itineraries for Sustainability project, we have created an experience that unites tradition, incredible landscapes and respect for the environment. This project not only invites you to explore, but also supports rural development and promotes sustainable tourism.

What are we looking for?
We want every step you take to be a connection with nature and the history of our land. That is why our objectives are clear:
To connect with the environment: to show you the best of our landscapes while we learn together to take care of them.
Make hiking sustainable and accessible: we design routes designed for you to enjoy without leaving a negative footprint.
Revitalise our rural areas: we promote activities and services that respect our roots and generate new opportunities.
‘Walk along paths full of history, enjoy unique landscapes and live the experience of sustainable tourism in Granadilla de Abona’
Signs that tell stories:
We installed new interpretive panels and tables in Spanish and English to connect landscape, history and sustainability. Each panel invites you to discover the landscape, understand local traditions and connect with the environment.
A unique design:
We created a logo and visual manual that reinforce their uniqueness, making the Landscape Itineraries for Sustainability recognisable and unique.
Travelling exhibition:
We have created an exhibition that reflects its core values: sustainability, tradition and nature. This exhibition will travel to schools, colleges, citizen centres and events, using visual supports such as photocalls, totems and brochures, we want to inspire everyone to care for and enjoy our environment.
What have we done?
Our work goes beyond designing routes. We want every trail to tell a story, every step to be a unique experience.
This is what we have achieved:
A clear and attractive trail network:
We analysed and renamed routes in coordination with the Town Council of Granadilla de Abona and the Cabildo of Tenerife, highlighting the Granadilla-Las Vegas section of the historic Camino Real, signposted for the first time, proudly and marking the beginning of its possible future homologation.
A website designed for you:
Plan your routes and access key information with maps and QR codes on the ground. Designed for you to explore the trails before, during and after your visit.
Creation of a mobile app:
Explore additional content and exclusive details before, during and after your walk. Plus, it includes additional images and data that will allow you to discover the trails in more detail.
